BOONSBORO — A boy who was seriously injured in an all-terrain vehicle accident Monday afternoon on Reno Monument Road was being treated Tuesday night at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, according to hospital employees.
The boy was in the pediatric intensive care unit, the employees said.
The accident occurred in the 20600 block of Reno Monument Road.
The boy, believed to be a teenager, was a priority one patient, which is the most serious injury said Morgan Boyd, chief of Boonsboro Ambulance & Rescue Inc.
The boy was initially taken to the trauma center at Meritus Medical Center after the accident, which was reported at 2:50 p.m., officials said.
