Created for those who maintain professional-level CPR/AED skills, the two-year certification is available for first responders and health care providers such as nurses, EMTs, paramedics, police, firefighters and doctors.

The training combines discussions and videos with hands-on skills training. The course is based on real-life rescue scenarios and lessons that reinforce decision-making skills so participants can be confident when responding to an emergency.

The training teaches:

  • Responding to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants
  • Using an AED on adult and child victims of cardiac arrest
  • Using personal protective equipment to stop blood-borne pathogens and other diseases from spreading
  • Training on administering emergency oxygen.
