Maryland Symphony Orchestra offers special ticket prices to upcoming concerts

The Maryland Symphony Orchestra has announced a special ticket subscription good for the final three Masterworks concerts of the 2010-11 Season.

In the 3 for $30 promotion, concertgoers may purchase a ticket for each of the next three Masterworks for $30, plus a handling fee. Tje handling fee will be added per subscription.

This offer expires at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4.  

The next three Masterworks concerts are:

  •  "A French Feast" on Saturday, Feb. 12, and Sunday, Feb. 13, with MSO's principal flutist Kim Valerio featured in Ibert's "Flute Concerto."
  •  "Scandinavian Serenade" on Saturday, March 19, and Sunday, March 20, featuring music by Nielsen, Dvorak and Sibelius.
  •   "A Night at the Opera" on Saturday, April 16, and Sunday, April 17, with soprano Elizabeth Turchi, tenor William Davenport and the Choral Arts Society of Frederick (Md.) singing music from "Carmen," "Il Trovatore" and "La Traviata."

All performances are held at the Maryland Theatre in downtown Hagerstown.
