FOXVILLE, Md. —  Harry E. Willard, 77, of Foxville, passed away Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born Nov. 23, 1933, in Foxville, he was the son of the late Clifford D. and Pearl V. (Brown) Willard.

He attended Foxville School.

He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He was employed by Wolfe Brothers Construction of Myersville for 48 years.

He was a life member of the National Rifle Association.

He loved to hunt in Wyoming.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy L. (Kline) Willard, whom he married June 7, 1956; daughter, Judy Buhrman and husband, Mike, of Foxville; sister, Ruth Blickenstaff and husband, Blicky, of Smithsburg; brothers, Harold Willard and wife, Joanne, Richard Willard and wife, Patty, and Jesse Willard, all of Foxville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Eccard; and brothers, William Willard and Calvin Willard.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at 8 p.m. from J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, with Pastor Ronald Kurtz officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
