Adams County man charged with sexually assaulting boy

Curtis Bryner of Gettysburg, Pa., faces multiple charges in incidents

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police in Fulton County have charged an Adams County man with sexually assaulting a boy in 1998-99 and again in 2008.

Curtis Bryner, 38, of Gettysburg, Pa., has been charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, endangering the welfare of children, criminal coercion, indecent assault, indecent exposure, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person, police said.

Bryner, who is in the Adams County Jail, was arraigned on the charges on Jan. 7, and his bail was set at $50,000, police said.

Police said a boy, now 17, alleged he was sexually assaulted by Bryner several times between May 1998 and May 1999, when he was 5 years old.

The boy alleged Bryner sexually assaulted and threatened him again in February 2008, police said.

The alleged incidents occurred at a home in Belfast Township, police said.
