DH WEB

January 14, 2011

Hagerstown-based DH WEB recently put the finishing touches on a new companion website for Maryland Public Television's newest program, "Chesapeake Collectibles."

The website allows viewers to register and upload photos and videos of collectible items that have a history or connection to Maryland. The new website also features episodes and related information about the show.

"Chesapeake Collectibles" explores the Chesapeake Bay region's history through its treasures, people and their stories. Each episode takes viewers back through time and all over Maryland. Hear the stories behind favorite family heirlooms, while expert appraisers make the distinction between what is collectible and what is not.

"Chesapeake Collectibles" is MPT's newest program that looks at the treasures people might have in their attic, garage or at their grandmother's house. It's an educational and fun half-hour that searches for and unveils some of the most fascinating antiques and treasures found across the Chesapeake region.

Hosted by Rhea Feikin and assisted by "MotorWeek" host John Davis, "Chesapeake Collectibles" also includes short features on some of the region's most notable collections. Viewers will see the frenzy at a huge weekly antiques auction on Maryland's Eastern Shore and a collection of airplanes, built in nearby Hagerstown, that changed aviation history.
