SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. — Jerica Hewett scored a game-high 21 points to lead Shepherd past Alderson-Broaddus (1-11, 1-9) in the WVIAC.

Alex Tamez had 12 points, Jenn Prine and Jimyse Brown had 10 points each and Shelby Fayak and Katie Biggs had seven rebounds each for the Rams (10-4, 8-2).

Smithsburg-Wiliamsport boys basketball tickets

WILLIAMSPORT — Tickets for tonight’s  Smithsburg at Williamsport boys basketball game will still be available at the gate.

Fans are urged to get to the game early to avoid any chances of  missing the game because of a sellout.

The game is scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m.

Little League rules clinic

Beginning Feb. 1 and running every Tuesday in February, local Little League umpires Dave Grams and Denny Hockensmith will hold a Little League rules clinic free of charge for anyone interested from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Church of Christ on Leitersburg Pike. In addition, if there is enough interest, Grams and Hockensmith will hold a Little League informational clinic for women only on March 1.
