The burglaries have involved bottom-level apartments and access is being gained through window and sliding doors, police said.

The string of burglaries started Sept. 29, police said.

Police are encouraging people to lock widows and doors, to use exterior lighting when possible and to keep valuables away from windows and doors where they can be seen from outside.

Anyone witnessing any suspicious people or activity can report it to the Frederick Police Department at 301-600-2100.

Anyone with information specific to these crimes can contact Matthew Irons at 301-600-1210 or Marlon Alvarez at 301-600-6233, according to the police department.
