Waynesboro police respond to incidents

The following incidents were reported by the Waynesboro Police Department:


  • At 11:35 a.m., a hit and run in the first block of Walnut Street.
  • At 12:02 p.m., an auto accident at Clayton Avenue and State Hill Road.


  • At 7 p.m., a vehicle was reported vandalized in the 100 block of East North Street.

Police: School bus backs into vehicle in Pa.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — A school bus backed into another vehicle on Mont Alto Road in Guilford Township Tuesday morning, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The school bus was traveling south on Mont Alto Road about 8:10 a.m. when it passed by a location to pick up a student, state police said.

The driver of the bus started to back up and struck the other vehicle, state police said.

There were several children on the bus but none was injured, state police said.

The driver of the vehicle which was struck was treated at the scene, police said. The vehicle that was struck was towed from the scene and the bus driver was able to finish the driver's route, police said.
