School closings and delays

Washington County

The University System of Maryland at Hagerstown will open at 10 a.m. today.
Washington County Public Schools will be operating on a two hour delay Wednesday according to the WPCS website.
HCC will open at 10 a.m. Wednesday. To check Hagerstown Community College's weather schedule, please go to their website at www.hagerstowncc.edu or call 301-790-2800.

West Virginia

Berkeley County Public Schools are now closed today. All evening activities, practices and programs are cancelled.

Jefferson County Schools closed, Wednesday. Central Office open at 10 a.m.
Morgan County Public Schools are now closed today. Employees are to follow Reporting Code A.

Cancellations and postponements

Maryland

The Maryland Agricultural Commission meeting previously scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 12 in Annapolis has been canceled. For further information about the meeting, please call Florence Jordan at the Maryland Department of Agriculture, (410) 841-5882.

Washington County

According to the Washington County Public Schools website, all evening activities for Tuesday, Jan. 11 have been cancelled.
The Hagerstown-Washington County Chamber of Commerce follows Hagerstown Community College's closing schedule. If the college is closed, or if it has a delayed opening, corresponding chamber events are canceled. For example, if the chamber has a breakfast meeting and evening mixer scheduled on a snowy day, we follow the college's closing schedule. If the college closes for the day, both chamber events are canceled. If the college delays opening until 10 a.m., the chamber breakfast is canceled, but the evening mixer goes forward.

West Virginia

Due to a weather-related closing of Jefferson County Schools, the Get a Life reality simulation scheduled to take place at Charles Town Middle School today has been rescheduled for tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. For more information, log onto www.wvtreasury.com.

In Berkeley County, W.Va., all evening activities and practices are canceled Tuesday, and in Jefferson County, W.Va., all after-school and evening activities have been canceled, school officials in the two counties said.
