MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Musselman High School is mourning the death of a recent graduate who police say was stabbed to death by her boyfriend in Lawndale, Calif.

Eileen Elizabeth Garnreiter, 22, was found Saturday after a domestic dispute, according to reports by The San Jose Mercury News and The Los Angeles Times.

She had been stabbed to death with a kitchen knife, according to the published accounts. The couple's 3-week old daughter was not harmed, according to reports.

Musselman High School Principal Ron Stephens shared the news of Garnreiter's death Tuesday with fellow principals at their regular meeting, Berkeley County Schools spokesperson Jaimee Borger said.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said Garnreiter's boyfriend, Tymarc Daimarque Warren, 25, was being held Tuesday on $1 million bail, according to published accounts.

Warren appeared to be suffering from self-inflicted, superficial cuts to his wrists that were not life-threatening, police told the newspapers.

Warren was booked at the South Los Angeles sheriff's station following the stabbing in the 4100 block of Rosecrans Avenue.

A standout on Musselman High's softball team, Garnreiter in 2006, her senior year, hit .429 with nine doubles, 26 RBIs and 26 runs for the Applemen, who went 27-6.
