Pancake breakfast planned for Saturday

Downsville Ruritan Club will hold a pancake breakfast Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Downsville Community Center (old Downsville school).

The menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, puddin', scrambled eggs, sausage gravy, coffee, milk and orange juice.

The breakfast costs $5.50 for adults, $3.50 for those ages 6 to 12, and it is free for those ages 5 and younger.

Angel Food ordering under way this week

Angel Food orders will be taken Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at Rehoboth United Methodist Church, 30 E. Salisbury St., in the Fellowship Hall.

Walnut Towers residents can order today from 3 to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Potomac Towers residents can order today from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

Blue Band Night planned at Wendy's

Wendy's and the Williamsport Blue Band Boosters Club invite the community to this month's Blue Band Night, Wednesday, Jan. 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the 1570 Wesel Blvd. restaurant.

The band purchased uniforms in 2008, and the money raised will be used to help pay for them.

Tell the server you support the Blue Band and Wendy's will give the uniform fund a portion of the bill.

Time to reserve park facilities

The Community Building and pavilions in Byron Memorial Park  are available to reserve for the 2011 season.

Rental cost for the Community Building is $200 plus $50 security deposit. Pavilions 1, 2, and 3 rent for $75 each.

The Band Shell rents for $65. Reservation time is 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Reservations should be made at Town Hall and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
