TOPS 0462

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 0462 in Smithsburg had another great weigh-in after the holidays.

Ola was this week's thinner winner with a 2-pound loss. Sally L. was next with a 1.5-pound loss.

John, the chapter leader, opened the meeting with a greeting and encouragement for the new year. He said he hopes that all of the members can reach their own personal weight-loss goal.

John also took new pictures of all the members for the chapter scrapbook so each member can see how good the changes look from year to year. John also passed out goal charts so chapter members can keep track of their losses.

The new contest rules were outlined and teams were picked. The name of the contest is "Fill Your Pot of Gold."

Teams will get points for weight loss, drinking eight glasses of water a day, presenting a program and for other activities.

The chapter meets Thursdays at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 51 N. Main St., Smithsburg. Weigh-in is at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting starts at 6 p.m.

For more information, call Ola at 301-824-7650 or John at 717-749-3023.
