WILLIAMSPORT, Md. — Donald Harry “Chief” Robinson, 70, of Williamsport, Md., and formerly of Bristol, Conn., died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011, at his home.
Born Aug. 15, 1940, in Clear Spring, Md., he was the son of the late Lester William and Olive Virginia Blair Robinson.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Jordan Robinson, in 2006.
He was employed by Cook’s Nursing Home, Terryville, Conn., until retiring in 2006. He was most recently employed at Kmart in Hagerstown, Md.
He was a member of Calvary Temple, Williamsport, Md. He was an ordained minister and was a missionary to the Philippine Islands for 13 years.
Survivors include wife, Peggy Lorraine Seville Robinson, married Sept. 13, 2008, of Williamsport, Md.; daughter, Rebecca Elwood and her husband, David, of Glen Rock, Pa.; son, Donald E. Robinson and his wife, Leanne, of Torrington, Conn.; sister, Shirley Williams of Williamsport, Md.; sister, Margaret Myers of Hagerstown, Md.; sister, Mary Lady of Hagerstown, Md.; sister, Dreatha Henderson of Martinsburg, W.Va.; brother, Truman Robinson of Martinsburg, W.Va.; brother, the Rev. Robert Robinson of Williamsport, Md.; brother, Albert Robinson of Williamsport, Md.; brother, Dallas Robinson of Inwood, W.Va.; brother, Roy Robinson of Hagerstown, Md.; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at Calvary Temple, 147 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, Md., on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Robert V. Robinson and the Rev. Kenneth Gray officiating. Burial will be announced at a later date.
