Washington Co. Free Library to resume story time on Fridays

January 09, 2011

Washington County Free Library's downtown library will offer a story time for all children every Friday at 11 a.m. beginning Jan. 21.

Jeff Ridgeway, who has been conducting story times for the library system for 25 years, will host the program.

The temporary library is at 59 W. Washington St. in the Susquehanna Bank building and across the street from the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown. For more information, call Ridgeway at 301-791-5169.

In addition to story time, Ridgeway will share classic and new stories, puppets, draw a stories, flannelboard stories, music and other activities designed to encourage children to love reading and to get them acquainted with the wonderful books and other media to be found at their public library.
