Beth Ann Walters, age 45, of Greencastle and formerly of Chambersburg, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, in the Chambersburg Hospital following a very short battle with cancer.

Born on July 14, 1965 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of Carolyn K. (Light) Walters of Chambersburg, and the late Galen L. Walters.

A 1983 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School, Beth was employed for 21 years with JP Morgan Chase in Frederick, Md., where she worked as a management team leader.

She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Chambersburg, and she was an avid Washington Redskins fan. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the beach and boating at the cabin on the Susquehanna River.

Aside from her mother, Carolyn, she is survived by her brother, Greg L. Walters and his wife, Gwen of Chambersburg; her boyfriend of six years, Craig R. Stevens of Greencastle; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and her goddaughter.

She will also be greatly missed by her beloved beagle, Maggie Mae.

In addition to her father, Galen, she was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, and her uncle, Robert Walters.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, in the chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, with the Rev. Matthew Richardson officiating.

Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, and one hour prior to the funeral on Monday.
