Contemporary School of the Arts & Gallery to host music classes

The Contemporary School of the Arts and Gallery Inc., 4 W. Franklin St., in downtown Hagerstown is offering music classes starting Wednesday, Jan. 5. Scholarships are available for qualifying students.

The following classes are open for enrollment:

 Group Guitar for ages 7 to 10 held Wednesdays: first-time guitar from 5 to 5:45 p.m, beginner guitar from 3 to 3:45 p.m. Begin to make music on your own, learn songs and how to read music. Bring your guitar.

 Beginning Music! Music! for children of all ages held Wednesdays, from 4 to 4:45 p.m. The student will learn the basics of note reading, singing and piano playing.

 First-Time Music! Music! for ages 6 to 9, held Wednesdays from 2 to 2:45 p.m. Sing and play songs on the piano.
