Lee Aaron Russell, 12, of 13226 Club Road in Hagerstown, Md., passed away Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.


Born Sunday, Jan. 25, 1998, in Hagerstown, he was the son of William Randall Russell Sr. and Janie Boss Russell.


He attended Maryland School for the Deaf in Columbia, Md., and before that attended Paramount Elementary School.


He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, BSA Troop 64 and a former member of Cub Pack 103.
Lee loved the outdoors, especially enjoying camping, swimming, fishing and going to the beach. He will always be remembered for his loving and caring spirit, and his willingness to help other people.


Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister, Marie Annett Russell of Hagerstown; a brother, William “Will” R. Russell Jr. of Hagerstown; maternal grandparents, Sue and Bill Boss of Dares Beach, Prince Frederick, Md.; paternal grandparents, James and Augusta Russell of Hughesville, Md.; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and special canine friends, Lady and Maisy.

Services will be Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, with the Rev. Michael Jendrek officiating. Interment will be private.


The family will receive friends Tuesday, Jan. 4, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
