December 31, 2010

HAGERSTOWN — A Hagerstown sedan service driver told police he was robbed at gunpoint early Friday after he was called to pick up a fare in the 300 block of West Side Avenue.

The incident happened at about 2 a.m., when three men approached an A1 Sedan Transportation vehicle and began to get in, according to a Hagerstown Police Department press release.

As two of the men waited by a rear door of the vehicle, the man who got in the front seat pulled a handgun and demanded the driver’s cash.

The men then fled west on foot toward Salem Avenue, police said.
