Class offered for W.Va. homebuyers

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. — Partnership for Affordable Housing will be sponsoring a homebuyer education class from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at the Jefferson County Community Ministries meeting room at 238 W. Washington St., Charles Town, W.Va. Cost is $75 per person or couple.

Homebuyer education is required for some USDA and WVHDF mortgage loans and for Homebuyer Assistance Programs. The class is also available to the general public interested in learning about the home-buying process and what to know before buying a home. HUD statistics show that those that have completed the course are less likely to go in default or foreclosure.
