Two-vehicle crash reported in downtown Hagerstown

December 28, 2010

Summit Avenue was closed at West Antietam Street briefly Tuesday morning due to a two-vehicle crash in the first block of Summit Avenue.

No one was injured in the crash, which happened about 11:15 a.m., Hagerstown Police Officer Richard Cook said.

The crash involved a Dodge Neon and a Kia Soul. The front passenger side of the Soul and the left side of the Neon were damaged.

He said he hadn't determined which car struck which or how the Neon had ended up turned around facing the wrong way on Summit.

Antietam Fire Company and Comunity Rescue Service also responded to the crash.

The street had reopened by 12:30 p.m.
