December 28, 2010

BURNT CABINS, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police said they found two dead bodies at 7 p.m. Monday after they were called to perform a welfare check on Grist Mill Road in Dublin Township.

Fulton County Deputy Coroner Darrin Smith pronounced Gary A. Shore, 72, and Dorothy A. Rife, 84, both of Burnt Cabins, Pa., dead at the scene, according to a state police press release.

Troopers said they went to the house after the family and friends of Shore and Rife became concerned about being unable to reach them.

Fulton County Coroner Berley Souders said Tuesday night that an autopsy to determine the cause of death will be performed Wednesday.

Further details, including the causes of death, were unavailable.
