Anna Delilah Murray Gossard, 98, of 33 S. Martin St., Clear Spring, Md., passed away Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010, at Williamsport Nursing Home surrounded by her family and loving caregivers.

Born Tuesday, July 16, 1912, in Big Spring, Md., she was the daughter of the late John Thomas Murray and the late Mary Russell Roney Murray.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Mason Gossard, in 1971.

She was a member at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Clear Spring, since 1935.

She loved gardening. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and was a peacemaker to all.

She is survived by two sons, Samuel Allan Gossard and Dean Lynn Gossard, both of Clear Spring; two brothers, Guy Edwin Murray of San Antonio, Texas, and Thomas Walter Murray of Hagerstown, Md.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Doris Eloise Beliveau and Donna Kay Moore; son, Thomas Alvin Gossard; sister, Dorothy Russell Hetzer; and brothers, John Elliott Murray, James Randolph Murray and Maurice Roney Murray.

Services will be held Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, with the Rev. Elaine Swinehart officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30.

Interment will be at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
