Southern Fulton student group join Soles4Souls program

December 27, 2010

The Southern Fulton (Pa.) School District Student Forum, an interschool leadership group, has announced its participation in a fundraising program offered by the international shoe charity, Soles4Souls, to raise funds for trips and project supplies.

The fundraiser is an alternative to traditional fundraisers that allows organizations such as schools, churches and civic groups to raise revenue while sponsoring new shoes for children in need in the more than 125  countries in which Soles4Souls does its distributions.

During the virtual shoe drive, students collect financial sponsorships of new shoes that they return to Soles4Souls.

Soles4Souls will then use the sponsorships to send new shoes to children in need, as well as return a portion of the total collected back to the school district to use for  expenses.

The student forum will run the fundraising program from Jan. 1 to March 1.
