Williamsport Athletic Boosters will hold a bonanza Saturday, Jan. 8, at the Williamsport Fire Hall. Doors open at 5 p.m., dinner is at 6:30 and the drawing begins at 7:30 p.m. A disc jockey will be available following the drawing.

The first and every 10th ticket drawn wins $35. The 100th ticket drawn wins $100. One ticket will be raffled and guaranteed in the last five drawings for a chance to win $1,000.

Tickets cost $35 per couple, which includes meal, soda and beer. You must be at least 21 to attend. Call Doug Levine 301-991-8015 or Melanie Gozora 240-291-4358 for tickets.

Free Christmas dinner is Saturday

A Christmas dinner, sponsored by the Williamsport Ministerium, will be served Christmas Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Rehoboth United Methodist Church, 30 E. Salisbury St.

The menu includes turkey, dressing and all the trimmings.

The dinner is free and the public is invited. Donations will be accepted.

Shepherd’s Table schedule announced

The Shepherd’s Table will be closed Thursday, Dec. 23, and Thursday, Dec. 30. It will resume its Thursday meals on Jan. 6.

The Shepherd’s Table serves a free meal each Thursday at Rehoboth United Methodist Church, 30 E. Salisbury St., prepared by churches of the Williamsport Ministerium.

Town Museum closes for winter

The Town Museum in Springfield Farm Barn is closed for the winter season. The board would like to thank all the patrons who enjoyed the various programs and exhibits celebrating Williamsport’s history. The museum will reopen in the spring.

Winter exercise classes scheduled

The Washington County Recreation Department is offering two fitness classes at 4-Star Fitness Center, Milestone Terrace, taught by certified instructor Donna Gamble.

In the moderately paced step class, participants will benefit from strength training, stretching, and floor work. Class will be held Monday and Wednesday, Jan. 10 to April 11, fro 7:15 to 8:15 p.m.

The fitness workout is an hour of low-impact aerobics. Adults of any age define a personal workout to suit their fitness needs. Participants will improve flexibility and learn toning techniques.

Daytime classes are Tuesday and Thursday, Jan. 11 to April 14, from 10 to 11 a.m. Evening classes are Monday and Wednesday, Jan. 10 to April 13, from 6 to 7 p.m.

Cost is $45 for county residents; $55 for nonresidents; and $36 for senior citizens (55 and older). Call 240-313-2805 for registration information or go to Look for Winter Recreation Programs.

Drop-in Zumba planned

Starting Tuesday, Jan. 4, the Washington County Recreation Department will offer Drop-in Zumba at 4-Star Fitness Center, Milestone Terrace. Classes will be on Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m.
