Man charged with with malicious wounding in stabbing
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A 51-year-old man is accused of stabbing a man in the back three times with a kitchen knife in an altercation Monday night, according to Berkeley County Magistrate Court records.
Anthony J. McColl of 1272 Rock Cliff Drive, Martinsburg, was charged by West Virginia State Police Trooper T.W. Cook with malicious wounding, according to court records.
The altercation ensued after McColl's girlfriend's daughter and her boyfriend indicated they wanted to take a bath while the defendant was in bed, according to court records.
The defendant didn't want them to take the bath, according to court records.
Washington County Sheriff’s Office responds to incidents
The Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to the following incidents Monday, according to Sgt. Chris Weaver:
- A utility trailer valued at $3,500 was reported stolen at South Atlantic Controls Inc., at 10226 Governor Lane Blvd. The trailer has a Maryland registration of 669723G. The trailer was reported stolen at 11:30 a.m.
- About $1,500 worth of merchandise was stolen from various stores at Hagerstown Premium Outlets. Two individuals were involved in the thefts, which were reported at 8:47 p.m. The suspects were last observed shoplifting at the Ralph Lauren Polo store.
- About $500 worth of merchandise was stolen from Toys R Us near Valley Mall. The theft, which was reported at 9:06 p.m., involved two individuals who pushed a shopping car full of merchandise out of the store. The suspects, two females, were riding in a four-door car with possible Maryland tags.
