Vera G. Stottlemyer, 84, of Wolfsville died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Born July 11, 1926 in Olomouc, Czecholslovakia, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Rudolph and Veralyn Maria Lubavitch-Roehrich.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles W. Stottlemyer, in 1978.

Vera was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Wolfsville.

She retired in 1987 after 30 years with Doubleday and Co., Smithsburg.

She is survived by her second husband, Clarence I. Queen of Wolfsville; two sons, Harold C. Stottlemyer and Larry W. Stottlemyer both of Hagerstown and one daughter, Cherly L. Troppman also of Hagerstown; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Vera will also be remembered by her stepchildren, Richard Queen and his wife Kathy, Phyllis Beall, Robin Shikles and Kathy Queen and her step-great-granddaughter Elizabeth Beall.

Vera was also preceded in death by her great granddaughter Brittney Carl.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at Salem United Methodist Church, Wolfsville, with Pastor Bob Snyder officiating.

Burial will be in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery, Wolfsville.

There will be no viewing.

In lieu of flowers memorial donational may be made to The Lord's Acre, Salem United Methodist Church, 12477 Wolfsville Road, Myersville, MD 21773.
