Girls Inc. members had the opportunity to host an intergenerational  tea party for 17 women from the Washington County Senior Center.

The tables were set and decorated; the girls were anxious yet prepared.

Girls in grades five through eight were taught lessons on hosting a tea party during their etiquette classes at Girls Inc.  The girls prepared four types of teas, mini sandwiches and pastries for the guests.

The guests arrived early, dressed in their Sunday best.

The girls greeted the guests and escorted the women to their seats.

Some of the girls served tea while others prepared food in the kitchen.

The girls served the tea and snacks using only the kindest words and thoughtful gestures.  Girls Inc. members and seniors enjoyed each other's company and spent much of the afternoon socializing and sharing stories.
