Man missing in N.C. might be headed to Frederick

North Carolina authorities are asking for the public’s help to find a 21-year-old missing man who may be headed to Frederick, Md., his family’s hometown.

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for Alexander Daniel Mcaskill, who was last seen Monday at about 5:15 p.m. in Columbus, N.C., according to the Silver Alert posted on the North Carolina Crime Control and Public Safety website at www.nccrimecontrol.org.

Mcaskill had been on a vacation with his family, officials said.

It is believed Mcaskill is suffering from some type of cognitive impairment, according to information on the website.

Mcaskill may be headed to Frederick in a gold 2005 Kia Sedona with a Maryland license plate number of 973-M916, the website says.

Mcaskill is 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. He has medium-length, curly brown hair and hazel eyes and may be wearing blue jeans, a black wool coat and white low-top tennis shoes.
