School of Rock coming to Hagerstown

HAGERSTOWN — Hagerstown School of Rock is offering the opportunity for future rock stars to get hands-on learning experience.


The school will open in early January 2011. and combines individual musical instruction with weekly band practice and community performances. The school will accept students of guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and vocals from age 4 to adult, matching them with bandmates of similar age and ability, all in a safe, encouraging environment.


 The school is lead by Scott Fisher, music director and co-owner, who is a former writer and guitar player for Sony Music Entertainment/Epic Records recording artists Foam.


The school will offer four semesters per year plus week-long music camps, clinics by special guest musicians and specialty songwriting.
