1 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup white chocolate chips

For white chocolate coating:

4 ounces white chocolate bar (see cook's note)

3/4 cup marshmallow creme

A pinch of salt

2 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon orange zest

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In heavy saucepan over low heat, combine butter, brown sugar and water. Stir until melted.

Remove from heat, add chocolate chips and stir until melted. Return to heat if needed to melt chips. Cool mixture for 10 minutes.

To cooled chocolate mixture, add eggs one at a time, blending well with hand mixer.

Add orange zest and stir well.

In a separate bowl, thoroughly blend flour, baking soda and salt. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients a little at a time until fully incorporated.

Stir in remaining cup of semi-sweet chips and cup of white chocolate chips. Cool cookie mixture in fridge for 1 hour. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons on cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes.

For white chocolate coating, use a double boiler or microwave to melt white chocolate bars, stirring often.

Stir in marshmallow creme, salt, butter and orange zest. Dip cookies halfway into coating and place on wax or parchment paper to cool. Place cookies in fridge to fully set the coating.

Makes 2 to 3 dozen large cookies.

Cook's note: Bars of white baking chocolate can be found in grocery store baking aisle.
