Dec. 15: Dance concert performance, South Hagerstown High School auditorium, 8 p.m.

Dec. 16: Band winter concert, South Hagerstown High School auditorium, 7 p.m.

Dec. 20: Emma K. Doub School for Integrated Arts and Technology’s fifth-grade winter instrumental music concert at Maugansville Elementary School, 7 p.m. Free admission.

Dec. 21: Jazz band concert and eighth-grade band concert, E. Russell Hicks Middle School, 1321 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown, 7 p.m. Free admission.

Jan. 3: Funkstown Volunteer Fire Co. membership meeting, fire hall, 7 p.m.

Jan. 10: Funkstown Senior Citizens meeting, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1 p.m. Mary McPherson from the Washington County Health Department will present a program titled “A Matter of Balance: How to Prevent Falls.”

Jan. 10: Funkstown town meeting, Town Hall, 7 p.m.

Jan. 12 and 26: Funkstown Lions Club meeting, Ramada Plaza, 1718 Underpass Way, Hagerstown, 6:30 p.m.

Feb. 5: Shrimp feed, Funkstown fire hall, 6 p.m. $17 a person. All-you-can-eat steamed shrimp, cold cuts and beer. For ages 21 and older. Benefits Funkstown Lions Club.

Feb. 14: Funkstown Senior Citizens meeting, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1 p.m. Cpl. Jim Holsinger from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office will talk about identity theft and other issues.

March 14: Funkstown Senior Citizens meeting, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1 p.m. Helen Stevens, with the Washington County Health Department, will talk about shingles and the shingles vaccine.
