Berkeley County man killed in crash

GERRARDSTOWN, W.Va. — A Bunker Hill, W.Va., man was killed Monday morning when his vehicle struck a utility pole on Goldmiller Road near Gerrardstown in Berkeley County, W.Va., West Virginia State Police said.
Earl Jenkins, 55, of Bunker Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a state police press release.
The accident happened at about 7:15 a.m., when Jenkins was traveling south in a 2000 Jeep Wrangler, exited the roadway and struck the pole, troopers said.
The cause of the accident remained under investigation.
The South Berkeley Volunteer Fire Department and Berkeley County Ambulance Authority also responded to the scene.
