December 12, 2010

MERCERSBURG — A two-vehicle collision Friday morning in Mercersburg also resulted in damage to one of the drivers’ homes, according to a news release from Pennsylvania State Police.

A Ford pickup was heading west on Garnes Road and stopped at the intersection with Pa. 75 before turning right — north — onto Pa. 75, police said.

After the pickup turned right, it was hit by a 2002 Ford F-350 pickup truck that was going north on Pa. 75, police said.

The Ford that was hit went across the double yellow center line, across the southbound lane, through a private lawn, struck a mailbox and then hit the driver’s house, police said.
