HAGERSTOWN — The case of a Hagerstown man charged with sex offenses against a girl was forwarded to Washington County Circuit Court following a preliminary hearing this week in District Court.
Eric Allen Bryant, 19, of 404 1/2 N. Prospect St., is charged with second-degree rape, attempted second-degree sex offense, fourth-degree sex offense and four counts of second-degree assault, according to court records.
Bryant is accused of attempting to have sexual contact with the younger sister of his girlfriend on several occasions from April 2009 to October 2010, according to the application for statement of charges filed by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Interviewed at the Child Advocacy Center in late October, the girl told investigators that in the spring of 2009 Bryant had sexual intercourse with her, the charging documents said. The girl told investigators she was feeling ill and went to bed, but awoke to find Bryant having intercourse with her, the documents said.
