She was a member of First Baptist Church, Hagerstown, and attended Greencastle Church of God and Greencastle Presbyterian Church.
Shirley enjoyed spending time with children and cooking.
She is survived by her husband of almost 17 years, Mr. Stephen Edward Singer, whom she married Dec. 29, 1993; four children, Debra Kay Moore and her husband, Dale, David Lynn Binkley, Beckie Jo Binkley, and Richard Eugene Binkley and his wife, Michelle, all of Greencastle; two stepchildren, Benjamin Edward Singer of Harrisburg, Pa., and Erin Nicole Singer of Waynesboro, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Corey Lynne Binkley, Amber L. Conrad, Kelsy Brianna Moore, Michaela Leigh Nelson, Adam Levi Moore, Tanner Blake Binkley and Wyatt Dalton Binkley; one sister, Rebecca H. Stine and her husband, Gary, of Hagerstown; two brothers, Melvin Eugene Wigfield of Williamsport, Md., and Richard Wayne Wigfield and his wife, Cheryl, of Hagerstown; six nieces and nephews, Michael Scott Wigfield, Kari Ann Stine, Wesley Lynn Stine, Jacob Wayne Wigfield, Loni Elizabeth Wigfield and D.J. Wigfield; and her first husband, Charles David Binkley of Fayetteville, Pa.
Shirley's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Lutheran Home Care and Hospice of Chambersburg for the care and kindness shown to Shirley during her illness. They would also like to thank her caregivers, Joyce Moore (mother-in-law of Shirley's daughter, Deb) and Louise Houck for the special care they gave to Shirley.
Services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St., Greencastle, with the Rev. Floyd E. Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
