San Mar Children's Home's Bull Roast relocated

September 29, 2010

San Mar Children's Home's annual Bull Roast will be held today, but a forecast of heavy rain has prompted organizers to change the location.

The event will be at the Williamsport Volunteer Fire Department instead of at San Mar as planned. The fire hall is at 2 Brandy Drive off Md. 63/Md. 68.

Lou Scally, media personality for NBC-25 and WJEJ Radio, will be the emcee. Leiter's Fine Catering will provide the roast beef sandwiches and trimmings from 5 to about 7:30 p.m.

A special feature will be a raffle for a week at Bear Creek Lodge in the Canaan Valley of West Virginia and a $250 gift card to Valley Mall.

Raffle tickets may be purchased only at the bull r oast, although it's not necessary to be present to win, organizers said.

More than 20 other items donated by area businesses will be available in a silent auction. Art produced by San Mar residents will be sold.

Tickets will be available at the door and cost $15 for adults and $10 for children 13 and younger.
