Doris Jeanine Cass, 79, of Hagerstown, Md., died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at Golden Living Center, Hagerstown.

Born June 5, 1931, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Lee Hamel and Mary Irene (Myers) Royce Sr.

Doris was a homemaker and a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Hagerstown.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph L. Cass of Hagerstown and Frank A. Dudas of Richmond Hill, Ga.; one grandson, Anthony L. Dudas; and three brothers, Clyde K. Royce, Warren E. Royce and Galen R. Royce.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph F. Royce Sr., Terry L. Royce Sr., June Royce and Charles R. Royce.


The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. Her pastor, the Rev. Dr. Stephen D. Robison, will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 1037 Haven Road, Hagerstown, MD 21742.

The Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, Bryan K. Kenworthy P.A., 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
