HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Mary Elizabeth Hauck, 74, of Hedgesville, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.

Born Dec. 6, 1935, in Walhalla, N.D., she was the daughter of the late Frank William and Ethel Viola Shilson Chamberlain.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Donald Hauck, in 2008.

She was a high school graduate of Cheyenne River Academy, Harvey, N.D., and a graduate of Atlantic Union College, South Lancaster, Mass.

She was employed as a registered nurse with various nursing homes across the country. She also worked for the Mid-America Union of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lincoln, Neb., until her retirement.

She was a member of the Williamsport Seventh-day Adventist Church, Williamsport, Md., where she was a member of the women's ministry. She was involved in missionary work for eight years in Lebanon, Cyprus and Kenya.

She was a member of CEOS-Community Education Organization Services of Berkeley County, W.Va.

Survivors include daughter, Debbie K. Bell and her husband, Bobby, of Hedgesville, W.Va.; sons, David N. Hauck and his wife, Lynda, of Worcester, Mass., and Daryl W. Hauck and his wife, Sheila, of Hedgesville; and grandchildren, Sierra, Robert, Brian, Timothy, Jaston, Desiree, Lola, Daniel, Damion and Dionna.

A memorial service will be at Williamsport Seventh-day Adventist Church, 16421 Lappans Road, Williamsport, on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at 3 p.m. with Franke J. Zollman, pastor. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
