Two men charged in home invasion-style robbery



MARTINSBURG, W.Va. --Two men were in Eastern Regional Jail Monday night on charges they robbed a man and his girlfriend in a home invasion-style burglary on Sept. 13, according to jail and court records.

Michael Douglas Stotler, 20, of 812 E. Moler Ave., and Michael Scott Peck, 46, of 482 E. Burke St., were arraigned last weekend on counts of first-degree robbery, nighttime burglary and conspiracy, according to court records.

Peck, who also was arraigned on one count of malicious assault, was in Eastern Regional Jail on a $130,000 cash-only bond, according to court and jail records.

Stotler was in jail on a $60,000 cash-only bond, according to court and jail records.

The men are accused of taking $180 from a man and his girlfriend at 612 Greensburg Road during a physical altercation, according to court records.

The male victim was shot in the foot, according to court records.

W.Va. man charged with stealing used batteries



MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- A 39-year-old Hardy County, W.Va., man is accused of breaking into the Spring Mills Walmart to steal used batteries, according to court records.

Clifton Lewis Flora III of 1921 Needmore Road in Baker, W.Va., was arraigned over the weekend on one count of breaking and entering, and was in Potomac Highlands Regional Jail on a $25,000 bond, according to court and jail records.

The theft of about 80 batteries occurred July 3, according to court records.

West Virginia State Police investigated a similar incident at the Charles Town Walmart on July 6, court records show.

Pontiac Sunfire stolen from driveway



GREENCASTLE, Pa. -- A 1996 Pontiac Sunfire was stolen from a driveway on Williamson Avenue over the weekend, according to the Greencastle Police Department.

The car is red and having a Maryland registration of MDW333, police said.

The car was stolen between 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 11:44 a.m. Sunday, police said.

Window broken by BB at Pa. house



SCOTLAND, Pa. -- A window on a house in the 300 block of Ragged Edge Road was broken after it was shot with a BB, Pennsylvania State Police said.

The incident occurred between 2 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday, state police said.

Two injured in two-vehicle accident



MERCERSBURG, Pa. -- A St. Thomas, Pa., woman lost control of an eastbound vehicle in the 11000 block of Lincoln Way West Monday afternoon and struck a westbound vehicle, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

After the woman's vehicle struck the other vehicle, it went through a yard, state police said.

The second vehicle also went through a yard after the crash, police said.

It was raining when the wreck occurred, police said.

The 54-year-old St. Thomas woman was taken to Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital and the driver of the second vehicle, a 48-year-old Fort Loudon, Pa., woman, was taken to Chambersburg Hospital, then Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center, police said.

Police did not identify those involved in the crash.
