HAGERSTOWN -- Church members and friends celebrated the 240th anniversary of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hagerstown with a dinner Saturday. The catered meal was held in Bethany Hall and included a display of photos and memorabilia put together by the Archives Committee, a multimedia presentation by the Tech Team and a historical program with church members as costumed role players.

One service will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, with the Rev. Mark Oldenburg of Gettysburg Seminary as guest preacher. There will be special music from choirs and music groups, and a reception will follow the service.
