Nursing school's class of 1960 holds reunion

On Sept. 7, 1960, twenty-five women graduated from Washington County Hospital School of Nursing in Hagerstown, soon to become registered nurses.

On On Sept. 7, 2010, fourteen of those nurses met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hochman near Funkstown to celebrate 50 years of helping patients and assisting doctors.

Those on hand were Bonnie Leininger Cunningham, Jean Keplinger Price, Nancy Roper Kercheval, Virginia Sine Hedges, Jane Keplinger Thomson, Jean McKenzie Beans, Helen Emlet Ustinovich, Jane Humbert Wright, Donna Duncan Clevenger, Nancy Cornelius Hochman, Angelene Faith Manon, Nancy Munshower Angell, Ecile Carbaugh Shaw and Nancy Weber.
