BOONSBORO - Marjory VanArsdale Lane Nagle, 96, of Boonsboro, Md., passed away, Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, at Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village, Boonsboro.

Born Sept. 10, 1914, in Hollis, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late John Bennett Lane and the late Helen M. Hamilton Lane.

Her husband, Frederick Nagle, preceded her in death in 1962.

She was a graduate of Cathedral School of St. Mary's in Garden City, N.Y., and attended the Art Student League in New York City. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Frederick, Md., and St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Lappans, Md.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Lane Creager and husband John (Milt) of Hagerstown, Md.; daughter-in-law, Rhoda Nagle of Coral Gables, Fla.; six grandchildren, Katherine Swire and husband Cory of Brunswick, Md., Elizabeth Tucker of Myersville, Md., Carol Creager and partner Sarah of Charlottesville, Va., Barbara Lambert and husband Bill of Hagerstown, Md., Davis Nagle and wife Andie of Plymouth, Minn., and Jonathan Nagle and wife Shawna of Westminster, Colo.; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Frederick Nagle; sister, Helen Innis Joy; and brother, John Hamilton Lane.

Services will be Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010, at 11 a.m. from St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 18313 Lappans Road, Boonsboro, MD 21713, with the Rev. Anne O. Weatherholt officiating.

Interment will be in Huntington Rural Cemetery, Huntington, N.Y. 11743.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church Building Fund, 18313 Lappans Road, Boonsboro, MD 21713 or to Washington County Humane Society, 13011 Maugansville Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
