WILLIAMSPORT - Anthony Triggs recently was promoted to operations manager of the Williamsport terminal of D.M. Bowman Inc. Triggs has been with D.M. Bowman Inc. for 13 years. He has held positions in both operations and safety, which will aid in the development of the operating staff in accident prevention and regulatory compliance. Triggs holds a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Shepherd University.

Volvo Powertrain North America

Ron Divelbiss, a maintenance mechanic, was named Employee of the Month for August at Volvo Powertrain North America.

Divelbiss' calm demeanor and knack for troubleshooting bring relief to many tense situations, according to a news release. He seeks solutions to problems and situations, and the results always exceed expectations. When evaluating any assigned project, he always considers cost-effective alternatives before taking action, according to the release.

Kaplan University

W. Christopher Motz, president of Kaplan University's Hagerstown campus, has been appointed to a vacant seat on Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley's P-20 Leadership Council.


"Since its inception in 2007, the P-20 Council has worked hard to help us reform our education systems and strengthen our workforce through college and workforce preparedness, STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), CTE (career and technology education), and principal and teacher recruitment and retention," O'Malley said in a press release.

Motz started at Kaplan University - previously known as Kaplan College and Hagerstown Business College - in 1997 as academic dean.

Before that, Motz was a program review specialist with the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency.

Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Sharon Gunder of the Greencastle office of Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA was recognized as Agent of the Month for August.

Gunder was recognized in the three years and over in the business category.

The award is given based on the number of listings taken, sales made and closed sales; attendance at Realtor functions; and continuing education classes completed.

FREDERICK, Md. - Melissa Francis recently was hired as an account executive at Love & Company, a leading marketing, advertising and sales firm in the senior housing field.

Francis will oversee client accounts for Love & Company senior living and senior-focused clients.

Francis has more than seven years of account management experience at RPA, a Boston-based advertising firm. While at RPA, Francis managed its Acura account.

Francis graduated magna cum laude from Loyola College of Maryland.
