Open-hearth cooking demonstration planned at Bowman House

The Bowman House, at 323 N. Main St. in Boonsboro, will be open Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. Denny Warrenfeltz will give an open-hearth cooking demonstration featuring period apple recipes.

Diane Putman will demonstrate candle making, and house tours will be offered.

The historic trolley station at the corner of North Main Street and Shafer Park Drive will be open from 2 to 5 p.m.

o The Boonsborough Museum of History, at 113 N. Main St., will be open from 1 to 5 p.m.

o The Boonsboro Historical Society will meet Tuesday, Sept. 28, at 7:30 at p.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 64 S. Main St. in Boonsboro.

Historian and coin collector John P. DiCarlo Jr. will speak on the topic "If We Were British Colonies, Why Don't We Use Shillings and Pounds?"
