Catoctin Cougars (3-0)

at Boonsboro Warriors (1-2)

When: Friday, 7 p.m.

Series: Boonsboro leads, 24-15-1.

Last meeting: 2009 -- Catoctin, 52-8.

Last week: The Cougars beat South Hagerstown, 38-13. ... The Warriors lost to Middletown, 34-0.

Notes: The Cougars have won 17 straight games overall and three of the last four meetings in the series. ... The Cougars rushed or 557 yards last week in their win over South Hagerstown. ... The Warriors have been shut out in two straight games for the first time since 1996. That also was the last year the Warriors were shut out more than twice in one season. ... The Warriors have allowed 96 points in their first three games, the most by a Boonsboro team to start a season since at least 1978.

Next week: Catoctin at Manchester Valley; Boonsboro at Brunswick.

Carson Long Military Warriors (0-3)

at Hancock Panthers (1-2)

Series: First meeting.

Last week: The Warriors lost to Mount Zion Baptist, 47-0. ... The Panthers lost to Clear Spring, 52-12.

Notes: After shutting out Rappahannock County in Week 1, the Panthers have surrendered 100 points and 1,114 yards combined in their last two games. ... The Warriors might be the perfect remedy to Hancock's ills. They've been outscored 192-0 in their first three games this season, including a 76-0 loss to James Buchanan in Week 2. ... Eli Souders scored both touchdowns for the Panthers in their loss to Clear Spring.

Next week: Carson Long Military at Rappahannock County; Silver Oak Academy at Hancock.

Smithsburg Leopards (1-2)

at South Hagerstown Rebels (1-2)

When: Friday, 7 p.m.

Series: Smithsburg leads, 16-7.

Last meeting: 2009 -- Smithsburg, 32-7.

Last week: The Leopards lost to South Carroll, 41-6. ... The Rebels lost to Catoctin, 38-13.

Notes: The Leopards have won the last three meetings and six of the last seven. ... Both teams have lost two straight after winning their season openers. ... The Leopards have allowed 88 points in losses to Walkersville and South Carroll; the Rebels gave up 93 points in losses to Urbana and Catoctin. ... After being shut down against Walkersville, Leopards RB Ben Daniels ran for 101 yards and a TD against South Carroll. ... Rebels RB Nick Stubbs had his third straight 100-yard rushing game, gaining 155 in the loss to Catoctin.

Brunswick Railroaders (3-0)

at Williamsport Wildcats (1-2)

Series: Brunswick leads, 16-13.

Last week: The Railroaders beat North Carroll, 9-6. ... The Wildcats beat Poolesville, 18-6.

Notes: The Wildcats have won the last three meetings after losing six in a row to Brunswick. ... The teams have played two common opponents this season. The Railroaders beat Poolesville 46-2 in Week 1 and North Carroll 9-6 in Week 3. The Wildcats lost to North Carroll 9-6 in Week 1 and beat Poolesville 18-6 in Week 3. ... The Railroaders have allowed just 15 points in the first three games of the season. ... The Wildcats have been somewhat stingy as well, allowing just 36. ... Reggie Russ finally got the Wildcats running game rolling, rushing for 115 yards and two TDs in the win over Poolesville. He also scored Williamsport's other TD on a blocked punt return.

Clear Spring Blazers (1-2)

at Clay-Battelle CeeBees (2-2)

Last week: The Blazers beat Hancock, 52-12. ... The CeeBees beat Hundred, 40-0.

Notes: After being outscored 77-8 in their first two games this season, the CeeBees have won their last two games by a combined score of 88-14. ... Blazers RB Mike Etzel ran for a school-record 327 yards and five TDs in the win over Hancock. ... The Blazers finished with 603 total yards, including 415 on the ground. ... Blazers QB Adam Mellott threw for 188 yards and also ran for a TD.
