SWEETWATER, N.J. - Virginia Osterweil Keller, of Sweetwater, N.J., passed away Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo Keller; her son, Randall Keller; her parents, Mary and Arthur Osterweil; and her sister, Joan Marie Brown.

She is survived by two sons, Gary and wife, Jan, of Cary, N.C., and Christopher, of Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Kim Keeffe and husband, James, of Sweetwater, and Vickie Noe and husband, Gregory, of Hagerstown, Md.; nine grandchildren, Deborah Haskell (Brian), Rachel Dzombar (Glenn), Mark (Laura), Erin, Ben, Margaret, Emily Noe, Lauren and Corey Keeffe; and three great-grandchildren, Carmela Lopez, Sophia Dzombar and Ella Grace Noe. She will be sadly missed by Carmela Keller and many friends.

She was born March 22, 1926, and raised in New York City.

Virginia was a member of Eastern Star and the Red Hats. She worked at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, Pa., as a supply clerk until her retirement. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to research genealogy, travel and read, although her favorite pastime was being a grandmother.


A memorial service will be Sunday at noon at Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, N.J., where friends can gather from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor, N.J.
