She had many dear friends from North and South Carolina; a dear friend, Rhoda Woodal, of Needmore, Pa.; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bell of Linden, Pa.; and two very dear and special friends who blessed Dorothy in her last days, Pastor Dan and his wife, Jackie Porterfield, of Harrisonville, Pa. Dorothy had the highest respect for them and loved them very much. They also home-ministered her during her illness.

Dorothy loved to travel, took many cruises, loved to line dance, cross stitch, loved NASCAR, attending many races, and loved being with her dear friends and family.

While in Columbia, she was a member of Millcreek United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and very active in her church. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was also a member of the Needmore Burial Association.

Dorothy's final wishes were that all memorial contributions be made to Stephen and Janis Weller, 8964 Thompson Road, Needmore PA 17238, for all the tender loving care and time they spent taking care of her during her illness and all the love they gave her during the most difficult time. Dorothy's last words were, "Now, I know what it is like to be truly loved and be a part of a loving family." She was so deeply loved by many and will be truly missed.
