Area students do well in regional Bible Bee

HERSHEY, Pa. - Three Washington County residents placed in the top five of their divisions during the regional competition of the National Bible Bee Aug. 28, at Hershey Evangelical Free Church in Hershey.

The competition consisted of a written exam and oral rounds.

Daniel Fierer, a home-schooled student from Williamsport, placed second in the junior-age division. Daniel, 13, is the son of Jonathan and Abigail Fierer.

Isaac Mulford, a fifth-grader at Shalom Christian Academy, placed first in the primary-age division. Isaac, 9, is the son of Mark and Jenny Mulford of Hagerstown.

Tristan Prejean, a 10th-grader at Heritage Academy, placed fourth in the senior-age division. Tristan, 15, is the son of Austin and Lisa Prejean of Clear Spring.

Both Daniel and Isaac have qualified to compete in the National Bible Bee, which will be in Illinois in November.
