Bark in the Park set for Sept. 25 at Doub's Woods Park

The third annual Bark in the Park will be Saturday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Doub's Woods Park in Hagerstown.

Proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of Washington County.

Registration will be from 9 to 10 a.m. at which time Pastor Jerry Lowans from St. Matthews and Washington Square United Methodist churches will give a blessing of the animals.

The Paws on the Path walk around Doub's Woods Park will be after the blessing and games will follow the blessing. The day will be filled with games, vendors, demonstrations and rescue groups.

Games will be bobbing for hot dogs (canines only), musical sit, owner-dog look alike, best tail wagger, best vocalist, best dressed and my dog's got talent.


Demonstrations will be given by the K9 Units from Hagerstown Police Department, Washington County Sheriff's Office and Premier Martial Arts.

Custom designed T-shirts have been donated by Screentique. Custom designed tote bags will be furnished by Longmeadow Animal Hospital. The giveaways will be available to all registered participants while supplies last.
